                                     Peptic Ulcer

Peptic Ulcers are sores that develop in the covering of the stomach, lower esophagus, or small intestine. They're typically framed because of inflammation caused by the bacteria H. pylori, as well as from degradation from stomach acids. Peptic ulcers are a genuinely common health problem.

There are three types of peptic ulcers:

Gastric Ulcers: Ulcers that arise inside the stomach

Esophageal Ulcers: Ulcers that arise inside the esophagus

Duodenal Ulcers: Ulcers that develop in the upper segment of the small intestines, called the duodenum

Risk factors of peptic ulcer:

1. Infection by helicobactor pylori.

2. Drug: aspirin, diclofenac, ibuprofen and other NSAIDS.

3. Smoking

4. Alcohol consumption.

5. Irregular meal.

6. Inadequate mastication.

7. "O" blood group.

8. Neurogenic-stimulation of vagus results in gastric hypersecretion and hypermotility.

9. Family History

10. Endocrine-Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, Hyperparathyroidism.
